Licensing International ANZ Advisory Board

Help shape the future of licensing in Australia and New Zealand

The Licensing International ANZ Advisory Board brings together active members from across the licensing community to provide insight, guidance and practical support for the growth of the industry across Australia and New Zealand.

The Advisory Board is designed to reflect the current ANZ member community, including licensors, licensees, agents, agencies, retailers and emerging industry talent. As the membership base grows, the Board may evolve to include broader representation and additional specialist perspectives.

This is a voluntary, advisory and non-statutory role. We are seeking people who want to contribute ideas, share industry insight, support member activity and help build a stronger, more connected licensing community.

About the Advisory Board

The Licensing International ANZ Advisory Board exists to support the growth, relevance and impact of Licensing International across Australia and New Zealand.

Advisory Board members provide feedback from across the industry, help identify opportunities for member engagement, contribute ideas for events and education, and support initiatives that strengthen the licensing sector.

The Board is not a statutory board and does not hold governance responsibility for Licensing International. Its role is to provide practical advice, sector insight and active support.

This approach draws on Licensing International models used in other markets. Where each Advisory Board member works to represent the interests of an industry vertical rather than their own company in addition to their professional contribution, support for activities, quarterly meetings and ongoing participation.

What the Board will do?

The Advisory Board will help Licensing International ANZ:

  • Strengthen member value and engagement
  • Represent the needs and interests of the current member community
  • Provide insight into trends, challenges and opportunities in the ANZ licensing market
  • Support events, education, awards, networking and retailer engagement
  • Identify potential speakers, partners, sponsors, members and industry case studies
  • Help grow awareness of licensing as a commercial growth opportunity
  • Encourage stronger connection between licensors, licensees, agents, agencies, retailers and emerging talent

Board Representation

As the ANZ membership base is still growing, the Advisory Board will not be structured around fixed seats for every possible licensing category.

Instead, Licensing International ANZ will seek to create a balanced and practical group that reflects the current member community.

Priority perspectives may include:

  • Licensors
  • Licensees
  • Agents and agencies
  • Retailers
  • Emerging industry talent
  • New Zealand representation, where relevant and practical

Additional specialist perspectives may be invited through working groups, roundtables or guest advisory input as the industry and membership base grows.

This keeps the Advisory Board member-led, while allowing broader industry expertise to contribute where needed.
